Nihon Koku's Jack Russell Terriers
Yes, that's right, Nihon Koku's Jack Russell Terriers!
Some 30 years ago, a Jack Russell Terrier female named Whoopi 's was the first own doggie of Ans .
At that time, the breed was not yet recognized, so without pedigree . In terms of color Whoopi was fully according to the current official breed standard, but she was of the old-fashioned type, with short legs , a firm body, smooth coat and the then customary little hop in the rear legs. That this had to do with the genetic abnormality Patella luxation was not known yet.
Fortunately, since then breeders proceeded realy very seriously and over the years the health and quality have greatly improved.
Breeders who are member of the official Dutch breed club NVJRT are obliged to have their dogs examined for hereditary defects on Patella Luxation and eye diseases and only dogs that have been declared free may be used for breeding.
After all these years, the Jack Russell Terrier as a breed kept it´s appeal to us, and in 2011 we decided that it was time to re- add a female of this breed to our Household.
We therefore started having a good look around and requested information from breeders both in The Netherlands and abroad .
Finally, in the spring of 2012 in Finland we bought the female Pikkuveijarin Saletisti Natsaa, called Mika, from Anne Koskela, Kennel Pikkuveijarin.
At the end of 2014, from breeder Ivica Vasičin in Serbia, we bought a second Jack Russel Terrier female, a little 3-colored rough haired with the official name Amazing Little Penelope, we call her Zorah. Her breeder Ivica Vasičin doesn't have a website. Of course Zorah also has her own page on our website.
In 2016 we added a 3rd Jack Russell Terrier female to our pack. Her name is Jackdivision Adele Sing Forever, called Hera. Hera was bred by Tatiana Rogozhkina in Tula, Russia. Tatiana doesn't have a website, only a Facebook page.
Hera has a rough coat and is tri-colored. Of course Hera got her own page on our website.
By now we've bred 10 Jack Russel Terrier litters with Mika, Zorah and Hera.
Our latest litter with Zorah was born June 5, 2020. We hope that our Siri will become the mother of our next litter. She will turn two years old in December 2020. From about 20 months old she is old enough to have a 1st litter, so it remains to be seen whether she will be in heat at the right age. Which male we choose for her is not yet known.
Information about our breeding plans can be found at JRT Puppy Planning
As member and Club breeder of the NVJRT we breed fully according to the association´s regulations.
